It's finals weeks here, which is surprisingly low key and somewhat of a relief given the crazy projects in the previous weeks. Also, I'm cheery because I finished my take-home final and turned it in today, which leaves me with just one more databases final left on Thursday. ^_^ ^_^ Hooray for no classes!
I just finished going through all my comments (haha... procrastinating studying, I guess ^^). My comments queue was...like...600 long and spanned over a week! T_T;;; <== shame at taking so long to respond. Sorry I couldn't say something to everyone, but I did at least try to answer all the questions and things that necessitated a response. Let me just say that I *hugely* appreciate all the comments and favs and support from all of you guys. DeviantArt certainly makes art even more fun than it already is! ^^
Okay, here's my question of the week for the watchers, just something that I'm curious about: why do you watch me? Is it for the tutorials, the anime art, the darker works, my witty repartee (yeah, as if XD), my oh-so-fascinating tales of schoolwork which I religiously chronicle in my journal, the minimalistic stuff, etc. I find I like to submit things in a variety of styles, and it'd just be interesting to find out what you guys like to see.
Also, I'm going to start keeping track of my works-in-progress here in my journal, because I have art ADD and simply cannot work on one picture at a time (I used to have this ability... but alas, it has vanished with age. =O) Strangely enough, the most difficult part for me is finishing up the picture. Like the last 15-5% of work is the part I least want to do. I have a few theories about why this might be:
1) at that point it's "almost there" and I've already worked on it enough that I want to start something new.
2) the file is really big at that point (lots of layers) and takes up a lot of memory, and my computer starts getting laggy
4) I save the least interesting parts for the end (like background, outfit details, ribbons, pants ^^)
3) It's all detail by then. You can't fundamentally improve the picture that much.
Anyway, works in the progress are stuff I've already invested some time into (like it's inked or coloring has started) and hopefully will have the motivation to finish one day. Give me a kick if you think something really ought to be done (please, a gentle kick. Not a hard one with a steel-toed boot or anything. >D)
In other news, V for Vendetta is an Awesome movie! Thoroughly enjoyed it because a) I love stories about distopian regimes b) men with masks are intriguing and c) natalie portman rocks. Seriously, it was a great two hours--fascinating plot, great visuals, and a kick-ass action scene towards the end (probably the sole reason why it's rated R, I'm guessing.) ^^ If you've seen it, how'd you like it?

Oh well. I watch you because of your fabulous artwork, and as well as for your personality (ack, don't know how to explain this part)
*hoped that made sense* xD
On another note, totally agreeing with you about V for Vendetta. I saw it opening night, and I've gone back to see it again. My favorite part? V's soliloquy when you first see him.
Though it did make me wonder how many people actually understood all of it
